4 Days and 3 Nights All-Inclusive Program at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción.

Day: 1

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, the party will navigate along the Madre de Dios River for 25 minutes until arriving at the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion Lodge.

Organic ingredients and native flavors are available for lunch, after which, a walking excursion will begin and move through the Concepcion Trails, where you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary types of Rainforest.

There you will learn about the local and regional ecosystem, the Amazonian creeks, nocturnal animals, their behavior, and southern constellations.

In the evening, the Lodge serves a delicious locally inspired dinner for all its guests at the Casa Grande dining room.

Overnight at the Hacienda Concepción (Cabaña Room)

The day begins with a trek through terra firma into the Tambopata National Reserve towards Lake Sandoval.

This is the place where travellers truly understand why Madre de Dios is called the biodiversity capital of Peru while learning about the Reserve’s conservation efforts and the lake’s formation.

Lunch will be back at the Lodge.

During the afternoon, take part in a breathtaking walk at the treeline on the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway & Anaconda Walk.

Get adventurous with the Rainforest by night excursion, where you will explore the Amazon rainforest that allows the observation of nocturnal animals with intriguing behaviors, enhanced senses, and rapid adaptation mechanisms.

The early morning Native Farm Excursion is a great opportunity to learn unique local techniques of cultivation used in the Amazon.

Afterward, a visit to the Botanical Garden will allow everyone to discover the immense variety of medicinal plants that grow amongst us.

Lunch will be back at the Lodge.

During the evening, participate in the Inland Collpa animal observation experience.

A morning walk at Fundo Casual jungle trail will take you deep into the rainforest on terra firme (non-flooded forest) where your guide will point out the dynamic creatures and vegetation of the Amazon.
Be sure to keep an attentive eye open for spotting surprises!

Next we will visit the community of San Francisco will include a short skiff ride and jungle walk to meet local villagers who have called Amazonia their home for generations. Here we will visit a market featuring amazing arts and crafts from the local women.

During the afternoon, you will participate in a Private Cusco City Tour and of its Archaeological remains: the Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas, the Qorikancha, and the well-preserved remains of the Temple of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara.

Take on Cusco according to you! Explore its narrow and colonial pebble-stone crafted streets.

The visit will begin at the town of Chinchero, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and a famous textile center where you will receive an illustrative demonstration of natural dyes and Inca weaving techniques.

Move onto the incredible Maras Salt Mines and catch an astonishing view of the mountainside.

Afterward, learn about how the Inca civilization used the Moray Agricultural Center to carry out experiments that would determine their crop choices and harvest techniques.

Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

The day will commence at Ollantaytambo which is known as the ”Living Inca Town” due to that its inhabitants live according to the customs inherited from their ancestors.

Here, you will also visit the archaeological remains of the Temple of the Sun.

Your way to Machu Picchu will begin once you board the Vistadome Scenic Train onwards to Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival, our team member will assist you with your Hotel check-in.

You will board the train back to Ollantaytambo and will be taken to your Hotel in Cusco.

A private service will pick you up from your Hotel in order to embark on a marvelous road trip along nature and wildlife on the high Peruvian Andes while you make your way up to Puno.

You will board a speedboat in the Port of Puno, on the shore of Lake Titicaca, and sail to Ccotos and Ticonata.

The locals will share their culture with you by showing off how they live in the modern World while keeping their customs alive, as well as enjoy lunch and then dinner together.

You will sail out to Ticona to enjoy the sunset.

Overnight in Lake Titicaca at an Island Local Guesthouse

Jumpstart the morning with a fair share of early fishing with the locals in order to prepare breakfast while you glance at the astonishing sunrise over the Lake.

Afterward, you will move on to the Island of Taquile, where you will be received by the local townspeople who will welcome you with traditional music and dances.

Their fine textile productions have been declared as Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO.

Wrap up the day with a visit to the Uros Island on the way back to Puno.
